Ronald Philip Goddard, 90, a lifelong resident of Littleton, returned to the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of 58 years to the late Ann Donohue Goddard.

Ronald was born in Ayer on September 7, 1931, the son of the late Ralph and Evelyn (Griffin) Goddard. Raised and educated in Littleton, Ronald graduated from Littleton High School in the Class of 1949 and later from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Science. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in both Germany and Korea. Ron also served the Town of Littleton for many years as a member of the Littleton Historical Commission.

A well-known painting and decorating contractor for many years, he found fulfillment as a teacher in passing his trade onto others at both Bay Path Regional Vocational High School in Charlton and later, Minuteman Regional Vocational High School in Lexington. An avid reader who thoroughly enjoyed his daily crossword puzzle, his greatest love was spending time with his family, his wife and seven children, and later his seven grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Ron is survived by his children, Timothy D. Goddard and his wife Kathy of Littleton, Ronald J. Goddard of Lowell, MA, Patrick G. Goddard and his wife Betsy of West Hartford, CT, Maura E. Goddard of Holden, MA, and Martha G. Johnson and her husband Eric of Littleton, his grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Joseph, Vanessa, Isabella, Daniel, Matthew, and his great granddaughter Bridget. He is also survived by his sister M. Lucille Alcorn of Chelmsford, three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron is predeceased by his sons Kevin P. and Michael J. Goddard.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ronald on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:00 am at Saint Anne Parish, 75 King Street, Littleton. Burial with military honors will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.

Ron's family wishes to thank his caregiver, Victor, for his kindness, care and compassion and the Care Dimensions hospice program for their support during a very difficult time.
